Final Resolution

An extra safety layer for items that cannot be shipped internationally.

Overview

We generally check whether an item can or cannot be shipped before purchase.
Thus, it is very unlikely that we will not cancel an order containing unshippable items.

Still, please do your own research. For resources, see the Special Categories page for which items can and cannot be shipped.

This page does not apply if an item can be shipped within Japan, picked up in person, or shipped with the required paperwork.

Condition

Available when

  • An item cannot be exported from Japan.
  • An item cannot be imported into the destination country.
    If the parcel has already been shipped, see the Buyer Protection page instead.
  • Required paperwork cannot be obtained.
  • No available courier can ship the item.

Not available when

  • The item can be shipped.
  • You no longer want the item.
  • You just want to sell the item.
  • The storage deadline has passed.
    The item will be disposed.

Solution: Resale

While the purchase cost (item price and associated fees) will not be refunded, we provide a resale option.
This option can be provided only when certain conditions are met.

  • The item cannot be shipped internationally.
  • The item price is at least ¥10,000.
  • The item is suitable for resale.
  • The item is not prohibited by the resale platform.

We will ask you for how much to sell the item at.
However, this cannot exceed the original price of the item.
The sale price and timing are not guaranteed.

If the item is sold, we will refund the sale proceeds after deducting:

  • Platform fees (usually 10%)
  • Applicable domestic shipping costs

Payment processing costs are the customer’s responsibility.

If your item does not sell within 2 weeks, we will dispose the item.

Disposal

Disposal is final and cannot be reversed.

For most items, disposal is free.

For large items that require paid disposal, the following disposal fee will be charged:

  • Base disposal fee: ¥1,000
  • Weight charge: ¥150 per kilogram (rounded up to the next kilogram).
